A short trip to the Island of Usedom in the Baltic Sea last for some great shots at the beach during the blue hour.
It’s my first time under water in a stone pit lake: no fish there but a fascinating atmosphere of dead trees and deep cliffs.
Really a lot of fish at my local diving spot.
Beeing successfully looking for pikes in Brandenburg’s lakes.
It’s finally summer! 27°C in Berlin, water has 11-17°C and the diving base in Strausberg has daily opened. A reason more to take a day off and look for pikes.
VIP shooting for the University of Bayreuth. The presidents of the six African partner universities meet the president of the University of Bayreuth.
It’s time to open the diving saison. It happens in the Dreetzsee in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern because here’s the best visibility. I just crashed the focus module of my fisheye lens – too many pikes or what?
For months I want to take photos of the new airport Berlin-Brandenburg. Now I finally managed to be there at the blue hour.
Currently I’m working on two reportage stories from Somaliland. Here is a preview from coast town Berbera.

I’ve planned that for a long time: The Oberbaum-Bridge during the blue hour.
It’s Fuckparade in Berlin. The anti-event to the mainstream-technoid Loveparade demonstrates against the commercialism of culture.
I’m on assignment for a German newspaper on one of Africa’s largest markets. Shakira Nalumansi, 22 years, sells bedsheets here. Formerly called Owino Market, St. Balikuddembe Market is one of the largest markets in Eastern Africa. More than 7,000 booths that line the chaotic alleys of Owino offer everything what people need for life. The largest section is the second hand fashion trade. With 15 percent most of them come from the USA, around 8,500 tons every year.
On assignment for the Bloomberg magazine in Kasanvu – Kanyogoga slum in Kampala.
Taking a cityscape for SPIEGEL magazine. Kampala is awesome!
It’s LaBa street art festival in Kampala. I was there to cover the fashion show.
